ABOUT ME!
Born in Seattle WA, Susan Buckner was an acrobat before the age of 5, excelled in dance and became a medaled gymnast at the age of 13, later excelling in chorus and track. She began her professional career in entertainment on stage at the young age of 16 in her hometown.
After graduating high school, she immediately became Miss Washington, later becoming a Top 10 Finalist in the Miss America pageant, winning the swimsuit / evening gown competition. Her achievements gave her a full scholarship to college. It was there when she was hired to become one of Dean Martin's Golddiggers, giving her a fast track to television and touring. Safety surrounded by the eight beautiful girls, she still fondly calls her sorority. Her hearts desire changed to music with the all-female group “Fantasy“ then The Duo of ”Buckner and Pratt.”
While her extensive commercial and print work easily paid the bills, she kept on at songwriting, creating an extensive catalog of songs. Her work first came out on Wars’ Lonnie Jordan's two solo albums.
Still continuing her work as a dancer, in the television years of variety shows like The Mac Davis Show, Sonny and Cher, and Telly Savalas Live Touring Show to only the best gigs with a command performance for the Queen of England. She often joined up with the many dancers she had worked, which led to The Brady Bunch Variety Hour as a dancer / synchronized swimmer. (Dancers do everything or say they can even when they never have.)
She stepped into acting as a character actor in two Made for Television movies: The Babe Didrikson Story, and playing Jean Harlow in The Amazing Howard Hughes. She played a dancer in the 1972 film The First Nudie Musical. Along the way she had guest appearances on Switch (w/Lorenzo Lamas), Police Woman, and BJ and the Bear.

Eventually, she landed the recurring role of George Fayne on The Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew Mysteries.
Commercial Print Ads were not wasted (such as the back cover of the Rolling Stone) when she was discovered by a top Management company and put in the first group of actors with the newly formed CAA. She co-starred in a pilot with Grease cast member Michael Tucci, and co-starred in an episode of The Love Boat along with Hawaii 5-O star James MacArthur. These appearances led to receiving an exclusive contract with ABC. She co-starred in the ABC series “When The Whistle Blows” as Lucy Davis, the only female in a group of iron workers in Los Angeles and their search for fun both on and off the job.
Susan also sits among the "Scream Queens" of Hollywood, co-starring in Wes Craven's 1981 cult classic DEADLY BLESSING with co-stars Maren Jensen and Sharon Stone. Recently, you'll find her in the Bonus material on the Blu-Ray version.
